Our Mission

The purpose of Macon Pride is to advance unity, visibility and self-esteem among LGBTQIA+ persons and our allies and to promote a positive image in the Middle Georgia area through community activities and service.

Our Vision

Macon Pride believes in educating our community, celebrating our diversity, commemorating our history, and liberating our people in the Middle Georgia region.

Safe Space Meetups

Join us for a gentle, affirming gathering where LGBTQ+ folks and allies can simply be — no pressure, no pretense, just connection.

Whether you're new to the community, navigating your identity, or simply looking for a quiet space to rest and reflect as your true self, this meetup is for you. We meet up at allied locations with space for real conversation (or quiet comfort, if that's what you need).

Come as you are. You are seen. You are safe here.

Pride Festival

Macon Pride Festival is a weeklong celebration of love and identity in the heart of Middle Georgia during late September (most Pride celebrations in Georgia occur in the fall, due to the heat).

Through visibility, performances, art, and advocacy, the festival honors LGBTQ+ while creating space for joy. From family-friendly events like our Interfaith Worship Service and Family Picnic to late-night drag shows like Haus Party, Macon Pride offers something for everyone — because Pride belongs to us all.

Community Partnerships

Throughout the year and especially during Pride Month in June, we create special events and partnerships around the Middle Georgia community.

We’ve worked with different groups to put up art exhibitions, hold yoga classes, stage storytelling shows, screen films, and debut signature cocktails. We look forward to meeting individuals and institutions in the community where they are and celebrating them as they join our community in a spirit of love and acceptance.
