Macon Pride was founded in 2019 as a simple dance party in the rain on Third Street, radiating life affirming love and acceptance.

We’ve grown to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that hosts a multi-day festival in the last week of September, as the largest LGBTQ+ affiliated event in Central Georgia.

Macon Pride believes in educating our community, celebrating our diversity, commemorating our history, and liberating our people in the Middle Georgia region.

With each step forward, we can create a brighter future for our community.

And that is why Macon Pride has moved to a year-round model, focused on providing more opportunities for Middle Georgia’s LGBTQIA+ community to gather and grow together regularly.

Don’t worry! Our September Pride Festival is not going anywhere.

This year’s festival will be Thursday, September 25-Sunday, September 28, 2025 with 4 pride-packed days of fun and entertainment.

What will never change is our commitment to advance unity, visibility and self-esteem among LGBTQIA+ persons and our allies and to promote a positive image in the Middle Georgia area through community activities and service.

You will now be able to celebrate diversity and foster safe, inclusive spaces for everyone year-round.

We won’t stop fighting for equality and recognition. We won’t stop caring for one another and advocating for love over hate. We won’t stop believing in inclusion. And we hope you join us.
