Macon Pride’s Pioneers & Trailblazers Photo History Exhibit
Macon Pride is proud to present its annual Pioneers & Trailblazers Photo History Exhibit, honoring the contributions of 22 Middle Georgia’s LGBTQ+ pioneers, activists, and leaders. This tribute highlights their impact across the arts, community development, social justice, and historic preservation.
Each year, we expand the exhibit to recognize new individuals and groups who have played a vital role in advancing equality. In collaboration with Storyteller Macon, this year’s exhibit will feature oral histories, providing personal narratives that deepen the understanding of our region’s LGBTQ+ culture and experiences.

Pride In Our Park
Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park

Macon Pride and Southern Queer Folk Hikes are calling on the community to join Pride in Our Park, a clean-up event at Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park.
This initiative goes beyond environmental stewardship—it fosters a deeper connection between the LGBTQ+ community and the natural beauty of our local parks. Through collective efforts to restore and preserve these cherished spaces, participants celebrate inclusivity, self-expression, and the shared sense of belonging that flourishes in the great outdoors.

Pride Paddles w/ Ocmulgee Outdoor Expeditions
LGBTQIA+ community and allies, come together with Macon Pride and Ocmulgee Outdoor Expeditions for a special Pride celebration on the water! We'll paddle along the scenic Ocmulgee River, and for those up for the challenge, we'll portage at Amerson River Park before continuing our journey downstream. Join us for a day of adventure, connection, and Pride in the great outdoors!
